The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division is part of a network of over 40 Art Institute locations throughout the United States. The Art Institute of Pittsburgh was founded in 1921 with the online division being established in the year 2000 to make learning more convenient. Art Institute of Pittsburgh is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education. The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is fully authorized to award bachelor's degrees, associate's degrees, and career certificates to its graduates. The curriculum for each major is designed to incorporate hands-on learning and skill building with the main goal of helping the student to achieve entry-level employment in the major before or immediately after graduation.

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh's online division offers bachelor's degrees in web design and interactive media, graphic design, photography, advertising, fashion and retail management, game art and design, hotel and restaurant management, interior design, media arts and management, and culinary management. Associate’s degree programs include kitchen and bath design, graphic design, and interactive media. Diploma programs in digital design, residential planning, and web design are also offered.

The online bachelor's degree program in fashion and retail management combines the worlds of high fashion and business. Students in the program can complete the degree entirely online without stepping foot in a classroom. The online environment is geared towards students who need to keep up with commitments such as family and work, but still have a desire to pursue their education. The program teaches students to develop and implement sales strategies, consumer buying behavior, fashion merchandising, purchasing, coordinating fashion shows, and fashion consultation.

Upon graduation students receive job placement assistance through The Art Institute’s network of employers as well as help from career counselors who prepare students for interviews and construct resumes.
