The fashion merchandising program is an associate's degree program that is offered at the ICM campus in Pennsylvania. The program is a combination of hands-on and theoretical learning that provides students with a well-rounded education. The faculty that teach the courses offer their teaching expertise along with real world industry experience. Students learn skills and concepts such as fashion history, fashion supply chain management, fashion trend forecasting, sales promotion and marketing, display creation, fashion event planning, inventory control, textiles, and purchasing. Students who complete the degree are prepared for entry-level positions such as retail managers, fashion consultants, merchandisers, stylists, corporate buyers, and fashion forecasters.
Kaplan Career Institute also offers all students career placement services. Students are taught the critical skills of interviewing, resume and cover letter writing, professional conduct, professional attire, networking, and job searching.
